There are 4 main purposes to writing: \u00a0Writing to inform, writing to persuade, writing to entertain and writing to discuss. \u00a0Your child will read a range of texts around these purposes and produce writing for each of the purposes. \u00a0Below is a link to guidance notes for the four writing purposes in KS1 & 2.<\/p>

The expectation in UKS2 is that children must regularly practise their times tables and weekly spellings.<\/p>

We also expect that children read at least 30 minutes a night.<\/p>

Reading is at the heart of our school and we have made a pledge to read to your child for 10 minutes each day<\/span>. We kindly ask that you reflect this at home too.
